每一個家族都有自己的歷史和故事，但很多時候我們並不知道如何去紀錄它們。

在我們（趙）家，我的父親趙維是第一位開始投入到家族歷史和故事的紀錄工作中的人。四年前（2017），第一本關於趙家歷史的“家書”在父親與爺爺趙一濤，還有二姑奶奶趙一平等家裡長輩的齊力合作下誕生了，紀錄了從我太祖父母一輩到我爺爺奶奶一代，整個家族從雲南大理走向世界各地的歷史故事。雖然這本家書收集了眾多珍貴的歷史資料，包括祖爺爺趙鵬在日本留學時的日記，然而歷史的紀錄工作卻還有許多餘留下的需要我們小輩去努力完成。

現在是一個特殊的時代。當我們都在城市裡生活時，傳統家書和家族廟堂已經無可繼續作為紀錄家族歷史的工具。然而，除了盡自己的努力去把歷史編輯成冊以外，網站是一個非常適合這一目的的媒介。雖然之前家族的很多歷史已經被遺忘，然而從現在起，我們用網站搭建一個家族檔案庫，卻有可能去詳細地，並且永久地保護好家族的故事。

這個檔案庫想要完成它的目的將會需要很多人參與到材料的收集，分享，以及貢獻（例如個人回憶錄的完成）。我希望可以創建這個家族檔案來有序地存檔家族的歷史，故事，已經影像資料。同時，我也希望我們可以盡自己的微薄之力去一起搭建一個對我們來說有個人意義和情感的空間。

如果互聯網真的能夠永久地替我們保存回憶和思想，個人歷史和家族歷史在未來將會是什麼樣子呢？

Every family has its own history and stories, but many times we don't know how to effectively record them.

In our (Zhao) family, my father, Zhao Wei, was the first person who began to devote himself to the documentation of family history and stories. Four years ago (2017), the first "Family Book" about the history of the Zhao family was born thanks to the cooperation of my father, my grandfather Zhao Yitao, and my second aunt grandmother Zhao Yiping. It records the history the family starting with my great great grandparents, who lived in Yunnan, Dali at the time. By the generation of my grandparents, the whole family has moved from Dali to different places all over the world. Although this book collects a lot of precious historical materials, including the diary of our great grandfather Zhao Peng when he was studying in Japan, there is still a lot of work left that needs us to work hard to complete.

This is a special time in history. As we all live in cities, traditional family books and family temples can no longer be used as tools to record family history. However, in addition to doing our best to edit the history into books, the website is a very suitable medium for the purpose of recording and remembering. Although much of the history of the family before generations has been forgotten, from now on, we use the website to build a family archive, and it is possible to record comprehensive history and story of the family, and to protect and preserve it permanently in this virtual archive.

To accomplish our purpose of recording and remebring, this archive will require many people to participate in the collection, sharing, and contribution of materials (such as the completion of personal memoirs). I hope to create this family archive to archive the family history, stories, and video data in an orderly manner. At the same time, I also hope that we can do our utmost to build a space that has personal meaning for ourselves.

If the Internet can really save our memories and thoughts for a endless time, what will personal history and family history look like in the future?
